Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Casino Help Desk UK collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. It's written in plain language. If anything is unclear, please contact us.
Who is the data controller
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Casino Help Desk UK is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. You can reach the data controller via the Contact page.
If you have a registered business entity behind the site with a company number and registered office, replace this paragraph with those details before publication.
What personal data we collect
We collect three categories of personal data:
- Technical data collected automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard server/analytics data.
- Correspondence you choose to send us — your name, email address, and the content of your message — when you use the Contact page.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not collect financial data, payment card details, gambling account information, or any special-category data (health, political views, religion, etc.). We do not ask you to create an account on this site.
Why we process it (lawful basis)
Under Article 6 of the UK GDPR, we rely on:
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for server logs, aggregate analytics, security monitoring, and abuse detection. Our interest is running a working, secure website; this is balanced against minimal privacy impact.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies (analytics, measurement) collected through our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
- Legitimate interest for handling correspondence you send us — we need the data to reply.
How long we keep it
- Server access logs: up to 30 days.
- Aggregate analytics data (no direct identifiers): up to 26 months, matching Google Analytics default retention.
- Correspondence: up to 24 months after the last reply, then deleted unless we need to keep it for legal reasons.
- Cookie consent records: up to 12 months or until you change your preference.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share limited data with the following categories of processors, bound by contract:
- Hosting and CDN providers who operate the infrastructure the site runs on.
- Analytics providers (where you have consented) who process pageview data on our behalf.
- Affiliate-network providers who track outbound clicks to operator sites for commission attribution. These networks see only that a click left this site and where it went — they do not receive your contact details from us.
We may disclose personal data if required by law, court order, or a legitimate regulatory request.
Third-party links
Casino Help Desk UK links out to third-party operators. When you click an outbound link you leave our site, and the operator's own privacy notice, terms, licence conditions, and responsible-gambling tools apply. We are not responsible for how those operators handle your data.
Your rights
You have the following rights under UK GDPR. They apply whether or not you've created any account:
- Right of access — ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data where we don't have a legal basis to keep it.
- Right to restrict processing — ask us to pause processing while an issue is resolved.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format where applicable.
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, for anything we process based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We respond within one month as required by law.
Complaints to the ICO
If you think we've mishandled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator. We'd prefer the chance to resolve things directly first, but you don't have to contact us before going to the ICO.
